This is because the Southeast Asia Casino Industry is seeing a Revenue Growth that is expanding at a steady rate.
In addition, the construction of new casinos in being built in the Southeast Asian region will add to growth. Thus, it is only a matter of time before they overtake Macau. At the moment, the Southeast Asian countries seeing the most growth are Vietnam, the Philippines and South Korea. Furthermore, Vietnam will be adding three more casinos while the Philippines plans on adding two more.
The Fastest Growing Gambling Market in Southeast Asia
While Singapore is the most famous gambling location in Southeast Asia, gambling experts predict it will enter a slow period. This is because of the many restrictions for locals to gamble and bet on sports in their casinos. However, the growth should be steady because of the many tourists that come to Singapore. In fact, Marina Bay Sands, one of the biggest casinos in Singapore plans on hiring over 1,000 workers by the end of the year.
In the Philippines, Entertainment City is where people go to gamble as it is the premier resort for gamblers. The Philippines is one of the fastest growing locations for gambling in Asia. In fact, last year they made $3.6 billion casino revenue which is a 22.9% increase over last year.
Vietnam on the other hand is doing very well. This is because recently, the Vietnamese government made a change in their laws against online gambling. In addition to this new ruling, thy also have several new casino projects in the making.
One such project is the Ho Tram Strip casino. This $4 billion project in the Vietnamese special economic zone will be the lead in Vietnam’s the gambling market. Furthermore, it will have a golf course and five resorts.
Other countries also seeing a surge in gambling and sports wagering revenues include South Korea and Japan.
