Even before it opens, the rumored casino in Chicago garners mixed reviews.
On Monday, Charlie De Mar of CBS 2 reported that the casino needs the state’s approval to open.
Bally’s Casino, temporarily located in the Medinah Temple, still had some final preparations before opening its doors. This week, testing by state authorities will determine whether or not the casino receives approval from the Illinois Gaming Board. After that, a permit might be issued.
Chicago Casino to Open Temporarily
For eight decades, Pizzeria Uno has been a mainstay at the intersection of Wabash Avenue and Ohio Street, and the longtime business is eager to welcome its new neighbor, Bally’s temporary casino.
According to experts of online casinos, the gambling machines are live, but the establishment is still closed to the general public. The Illinois Gaming Board has scheduled Wednesday and Thursday for testing. The makeshift casino may open within days if given the go-light. If successful, the city’s annual revenue might increase by $55 million.
Over 500 staff are expected to be hired by Bally’s for the Medinah Temple casino. They claimed to be prepared to deal with traffic and security issues.
