Korean golfer Kim Hyo-joo wins the Ascendant LPGA tournament. It is her sixth title in the LPGA tour. Also, she finished ahead of Bianca Pagdanganan and Atthaya Thitikul. The two were tied in the second spot with nine-under-par.
According to sports wagering reports, Kim’s season-long wins totaled $2,014,978, or over 2.7 billion won, after her triumph. Also, her win at the Ascendant LPGA netted her $270,000, or nearly 360 million won.
It was Kim’s first LPGA victory since she triumphed at the 2022 Lotte Championship in Hawaii in April, scoring 277 at 11-under-par. Kim made a remarkable recovery after competing in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship last week when she tied for 48th place with a six-under-par score of 207.

According to sports betting odds experts, the seventh-ranked Kim is the third Korean golfer to win an LPGA championship this year. Last week in Arkansas, Kim had a disappointing finish when Korean Ryu Hae-ran won her maiden LPGA competition with a score of 19 under par, 194.
Korean golfer Ko Jin-young won the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore in March for the second year in a row and the Cognizant Founders Cup in May. Kim, now 28 years old, debuted on the LPGA circuit in 2014 and won the Evian Championship when she was just 19 years old. In the subsequent nine years, she has won six Tour titles.
With her victory on Sunday, Kim extended her streak of straight years with at least one title to three. In 2021, Kim competed for Korea as part of the national women’s golf squad in the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics. She finished tied for 15th out of the four Korean players.
According to online sports betting reports, the next LPGA tournament is the Buick LPGA Shanghai. It will take place at Qizhong Garden Golf Club in Shanghai on Thursday.
