Our latest sports betting guide will be about betting on baseball. Usually, looking for baseball betting predictions should be enough if you are a bit of a recreational player. But if you want to earn money seriously, you should study the basics, at the least. Then you can move on to more advanced wagers, or higher stakes, once you know what to do.
For now, let’s take a quick look at the wagers you can make in baseball. Keep in mind that there is no point spread wager, and the odds may look a bit different. Of course, the money line is always an option. However, in baseball, you will rarely see odds greater than -140. It also pays off to go for the underdog at times, depending on the odds.

The run line is one wager you can make. Its basically a combined version of the point spread and the moneyline. A run line is a spread of 1.5 runs. Sometimes it may get to 2.5, but it happens rarely as well. If a team is a favorite on the money line, they are also the favorite for the run line.
Also, if a team plays at home, it means they will not bat in the bottom of the ninth inning if they are ahead by one run. Or they will simply stop batting in the ninth if they do go ahead by a run. Unless of course, they hit a home run. This affects the odds as well.
In baseball, the number of runs matter. In this case, it can be wagered by overs and unders. It’s your basic over or under, but instead of points, you are looking at the number of runs. Of course, extra innings count, for the run line and totals wagers.
